I figure that's the closest I will get to post-terrestrial travel, considering how underfunded NASA is and how slow the private sector is to making any real progress. It's sad to think that we (as a civilization) hit our peak in this area of research 40 years ago. The latter half of the 20th century and beginning of this one will probably known as a micro dark age. Political and financial goals have usurped scientific ones for too long.
