Martyr Mouse
I had written a post a few weeks ago about the Hamas TV program “Tomorrows Pioneers” in which a Mickey Mouse knock-off incites Palestinian kids to violence against the Israelis. Well the good news is that the show is cancelled after getting negative press from the worldwide community. However, the last episode features Farfour the mouse getting killed by an Israeli.
The really, really bad part about it - other than the fact that this show is teaching another generation of Palestinians that suicide violence or rather “martyrdom” is a viable means of struggle - is that I found myself laughing throughout the whole fucking clip. Does that make me an asshole? Probably. But it’s really hard not to laugh when costumed characters get their ass handed to them.
