You can’t go wrong with Hayek, it’s insane how hard it is to find in used book stores. I also say that Postrel’s Future and it’s enemies is one of the better books from the nineties that most people haven’t read, you can no doubt pick it up in paperback. I’m working into Linked by Barabasi — the science of networks. It takes a broader look at networks; providing a consistent model for why free markets, tcp/ip, and democracy all make for the best in the end. At least that’s what I assume the book is about, or how I would have written something with that title. It seems like a good x-over work for a dude that likes freedom and creativity mixed into everything, though Postrel is probably a bit less dry and covers the same territory.

Don’t buy Das Kapital at Chapters, you can find hundreds of copies in the dustbin of history for next to nothing. Wodehouse is also on my iist incidentally, he’s one of Onstad’s influences.
