Pantytrust

Panty Trust presents the first real opportunity for those who enjoy purchasing used intimate items to avoid disappointment and hassle. Any buyer who has been involved in transactions for used items in the past knows that unfortunately, each purchase is a risk. Fakes and imposters abound, even worse, some sellers fail to send you anything at all. When you purchase from a seller who is not verified by Panty Trust, there is a 50% chance that you are dealing with a fraud. Panty Trust was developed by a group of unbiased individuals with a goal of eliminating such problems.

2006AlbertapcWith all the bullshit going on in the world scale, I tend to forget about politics at home.

The Alberta leadership race is underway to determine the next leader of the province. My choice is Jim Dinning as I’ve always preferred economists over lawyers. I have other reasons as well.

During the last leadership race in Alberta back in 1992 a few friends and I decided to drive on a whim to Edmonton with more-or-less a stranger who had the entire Grateful Dead discography playing in his multi-disc CD player in his car. Anyways, once in Edmonton we faced the question of what to do. Somehow (I still don’t recall the circumstances) we ended up at the leadership convention that was going on that night. I called a friend and told her to meet us down there ASAP as there was lots of fun going on.

We tried to enter but were turned away as none of us were members of the provincial Conservatives. Somehow MLA at the time Jim Dinning saw what was going on offered to sign us up as members using money out of his own wallet. We of course took him up on that offer. In retrospect, this is probably some sort of conflict of interest or really shady at the least.

I remember going in and seeing orange balloons and large TV screens. It occurred to me seconds after that my parents still thought I was back in Calgary sleeping over at a friends house. They were most likely watching this on the news and that if the camera happened to turn my way I’d be busted.

Up In Smoke

Monday, October 9th, 2006

KoreanukeWell it looks like North Korea has successfully tested a nuclear weapon and Kim Jong-Il is high-fiving his colleagues and happy that he’s a big shot on the world scale now. Japan obviously is taking notice as the hate-on that both North and South Korea have had since the occupation has made the generational gap.

I read an article last month in The Atlantic about what will happen in the vacuum of North Korea once the Kim Jong Il dies. Personally, I thought the article was especially premature given today’s events because if he’s like his dad he’ll be there to the bitter end. The writing’s not even on the wall yet.

Miller

Saturday, October 7th, 2006

DennismillerI watched Dennis Miller’s appearance on The Daily Show a few days ago when I wasn’t able to fall asleep. It’s one of the more funnier things I’ve seen on that show. Typical of his comedy though, some of his references went way over my head.
