Buffy Guide

Buffy Face4The lady and I are currently in the midst of watching all 7 seasons of Buffy. We just finished the big downer that is season 5 and are starting season 6. The funny thing is that I pay for cable TV despite the fact that the only TV we watch is Buffy. I suppose after that it’s the 5 seasons of Angel but with them currently retailing at 75.00 a season it won’t be happening any time soon. Plus none of the torrent sites seem to have the complete set.

Anyways, to make a long story even longer I’ve found this pretty interesting Buffy fan site featuring all types of trivia and what not. If you’ve ever wanted to know what band played in what episode or about this demon or that then it’s the place to go. One question that I’ve pondered pretty much from the first episode onward is why does a place like the Bronze continually serve alcohol to people clearly under age. From my understanding the legal drinking age in the states in 21. Those opaque plastic cups didn’t fool me.

I might be the biggest Buffy fan ever. Angel’s not bad, but Season 4 may be the worst piece of dung ever produced. I couldn’t let you get into it without the warning.

Season 6 of Buffy is definitely my favourite.

When did this happen? I mean I have friends who are fanatic Buffy fans already so please don’t get me wrong. Wow!! Please expand on your knowledge of the program and amount of time watching it per week? Are you planning to attend a convention anytime soon? Purly for statical purposes only. From an outsider perspective I really am intersted in this phenomenon. Just don’t shack up in a mansion in “sunny” California without checking it out first. Promise.

I almost had to read a whole book on the sexual politics of Buffy for a sociology class. Seriously. “Sex and the Slayer”… I’m so glad that it didn’t come to pass, because I would have had to watch the entire series before cracking the book! I’m not much for that old electric chatterbox. In fact, I don’t even have cable… we do have a VCR though :p
