The entire idea of children’s beauty pagents sort of creeps me out. It’s not that some kids aren’t cute but dolling up a 4 year old in an evening dress and make-up can be a bit unnerving. The only thing even more disturbing are the parents of these childen as they live vicariously through these kids in order to fill the hole in their empty, meaningless lives. I was forced to carry a hot pink plastic brief case to the fourth grade instead of a backpack, because my mom thought it looked ‘chic’.

I’m doing a research paper on children and beauty pagents and anybody that can give me good websites anything about the pros and the cons and if you were entered in one or many pagents how did it make you feel? are you the one that wanted to do it or was it someone else’s dream? what is your opinions on beauty pagents and how does it affect you then, now, and maybe in the future? anything you can tell me from your experiences will be greatly appreciated.
