Thought screen hats
Like the voices in my head weren’t fucking bad enough, now I have to contend with aliens probing my thoughts. Not anymore though because some genius has come up with the Thought screen hat which keeps the greys, reptilians, and any other extra-terrestrial motherfuckers out of my head. Thought screen hats are kind of like regular hats but are retrofitted with Velostat telepathic shielding and usually worn by old men.
If you’re feeling really handy, you can make your own. The instructions are here. I took it upon myself to do just that.

Dammit Eric….. once you tell them you know how to block ‘em… you know they’ll try to find another way to get to your super secret thoughts… probably by some gross thorny alien tenticle enima… or an ass beam… or sumthin to do with parts you never figured could infiltrate your brain.
Anyway. You should e me. Seems that my account is blocked from e-ing you. Hmmm…. it has been a while… so maybe there is a reason for that….. I swear… I’ve given up brain-sucking!!!

Very good. It does say “Venture NOTC”. I picked up the hat after I lost two previous black hats. In a nutshell, it’s my workout hat. I wear it to the gym when I’m on the treadmill to keep the sweat out of my eyes and also off the powerwalkers. It fit the prerequisites for a hat I had laid out. Them being:
1. Black - goes with everything
2. Black - no visible sweat stains when I giver on the treadmill
3. Cheap - got it at the value village for $4
Frankly, I don’t even know what “Venture NOTC” is. Your guess is as good as mine.

After a bit of googling I found out what “Venture NOTC” is. Venture is the name of a Naval Officer Training Centre.

Your hat means “Venture” NOTC means “Naval Officer Training Centre”. This is a unit of the Canadian Navy located in Victoria BC.

I’ve spent three summers at NOTC. It’s the Naval officer training centre. All Naval officers of Canada will at some point spend at least some time there. MARS offciers (ship drivers) will spent a bit more.
